Commercial & Residential / EPDM Roof Installation
A proven rubber membrane installed for exceptional flexibility and long-term durability.
EPDM rubber membrane has one of the longest and most proven track records in low-slope roofing. Its synthetic rubber composition flexes through extreme temperature cycles without cracking, resists UV and ozone naturally, and a properly installed system can deliver 25–30 years of reliable service with minimal maintenance. Our crews install every EPDM system — fully adhered, mechanically attached, or ballasted — to manufacturer specification and local code, backed by a workmanship warranty and honest, upfront pricing.
Fast, free, and no obligation.
An EPDM rubber membrane installation, built correctly from the deck up
New Roof Installation
EPDM excels in situations where long-term flexibility, UV resistance, and proven durability are the priorities. Here are the most common projects where rubber membrane is the right answer.
EPDM is widely specified for new commercial, industrial, and institutional construction — we install complete rubber membrane systems from the structural deck up to code and specification.
EPDM’s rubber composition flexes through the widest temperature range of any roofing membrane — making it the preferred choice for buildings in areas with significant seasonal temperature swings.
When an existing flat roof has failed, a full tear-off and fresh EPDM installation gives you a clean deck, proper insulation taper, and a new rubber membrane from the ground up.
After a major storm or insurance total-loss determination, we install a complete new EPDM system — handling all documentation and adjuster communication along the way.
Property owners who want minimal ongoing maintenance choose EPDM — the membrane’s inherent UV and ozone resistance means it doesn’t rely on a surface coating that can wear away.
Schools, municipal facilities, and industrial buildings specify EPDM for its proven long-term performance, low maintenance demands, and resistance to ozone from nearby industrial equipment.
Why EPDM
EPDM’s synthetic rubber formulation resists UV radiation and atmospheric ozone without a surface coating — the resistance is built into the material, not applied on top of it.
EPDM rubber expands and contracts through extreme temperature cycles without cracking, crazing, or losing adhesive bond — critical for Gulf Coast buildings that see wide seasonal swings.
We design taper and drain placement before touching the deck — because an EPDM system that ponds water softens adhesive lap bonds and accelerates membrane degradation.
Every EPDM installation meets local building code requirements and we pull the required permits so your project is fully documented and inspected.
Our Installation Process
Every new EPDM installation follows the same five-step process, so you always know what happens next and why.
We discuss membrane thickness, attachment method (fully adhered, mechanically attached, or ballasted), insulation R-value, and drainage design before anything else.
A line-item estimate covering every component — deck prep, insulation, cover board, EPDM membrane, lap adhesive or tape, fasteners, flashing, drains, and labor — with no hidden costs.
We pull required permits, coordinate membrane and insulation delivery, and schedule the crew — lap adhesive cure times are temperature-dependent, so weather planning matters.
Our crews install every layer in proper sequence — deck prep, insulation taper, cover board, EPDM membrane, apply lap adhesive or tape, press and roll every seam, and complete all parapet flashings and drain collars.
A full post-installation walkthrough checks every lap edge, drain collar, and flashing termination for full bond and proper seating — followed by complete site cleanup.
Attachment Methods
We install all three EPDM attachment methods. We’ll help you choose the right one for your building’s structure, load capacity, and budget.
EPDM membrane is bonded to the cover board with contact adhesive applied to both surfaces, then pressed and rolled for full coverage. The most windproof attachment method and the most common for commercial EPDM installations.
EPDM sheets are fastened through the insulation to the deck with plates and bar anchors at manufacturer-specified spacing, with laps bonded with adhesive or seam tape. A cost-effective option for large, open roof areas.
EPDM membrane is laid loose over the insulation and held in place with rounded river stone ballast — an economical option, easy to inspect and repair, for structures with adequate load capacity.
Why Trust Us
We’ve built our reputation on EPDM installations with properly bonded laps, correct drainage design, and zero shortcuts — across Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
Top 3% of roofing contractors nationwide — the standard that ensures our EPDM installation crews are trained, equipped, and held accountable on every project.
Decades of EPDM and rubber membrane installation experience across commercial, industrial, and institutional low-slope projects on every crew we send out.
Every EPDM installation is backed by our workmanship warranty — on top of the manufacturer’s material warranty on the rubber membrane and system components.
A local crew with lap adhesive and bonding expertise that shows up on schedule and stays until every lap edge is pressed, rolled, and confirmed before the job passes inspection.
Financing Available
A new EPDM system is a significant investment, especially on commercial buildings or full tear-off projects. Our team works with flexible financing options so budget doesn’t force a shortcut on membrane thickness or attachment method.
“B&A installed a fully adhered EPDM system on our school building to replace the original 30-year-old rubber roof. They got the drainage design right, pressed and rolled every lap properly, and the installation passed inspection on the first visit. The new system looks and performs like it will outlast the building.”
